At the foot of the Dent Parrachée, at 1,500 m, lies Aussois. The charming village has a direct connection to the ski area, which encompasses 55 kilometres of piste and stretches from 1,500 m up to 2,750 m. 10 lift systems ensure a quick ascent. Aussois can also win you over off-piste: options such as paragliding, snow tubing or an indoor climbing wall are just some of the interesting alternatives. Or how about a tour through France's largest climbing course, the "Devil's Park"? Aussois - a family-friendly experience!
As a village, that lives off tourism, Aussois has still managed to keep its traditional charm. Every guest will quickly feel at home during a stroll through the lanes surrounded by small, slate-covered stone houses. Everyone will be captured by the magic of the village, though; in the various restaurants, in which you can savour the traditional cuisine, at the latest. Aussois is well-known for its dog-sled tours, such as the "Grande Odyssée", which is known to be one of the most demanding dog-sled races.
